Annette Gallaher and Jack Murphy at Junior Prom 1951

A friend at Greenwood Christian Church, Dick Phillips, introduced me to his friend Jack Murphy. We went to Easter Sunrise Services together and had breakfast at Dick's Mom and Dad's house.

This picture is of my Junior Prom. I was happy to go in my friend Gloria's lovely dress. We were to go to the Senior Prom and many National Guard big events over the years. Jack was involved as the principal planner for the Washington National Guard's Militia Balls. There were many memorable events including Canadian Militia as well as Army and Air National Guard units.

In 1964, at the First Militia Ball, Governor Albert D. Rossillini attended as the Commander-in-Chief of the Washington National Guard.

Mama - Florence Bernard Gallaher with Mary's twins

Mama was delighted to meet her little great grand kids Chrissie and Austin twenty years ago. (my how time flies...seems like yesterday. Mary and Ken are the proud parents and welcomed the twins to their family of two little boys Jake and Daniel.

Chrissie is now in college and Austin is working with Jake doing construction. Jake has been on a mission, returned, met a lovely lady...Melissa....who has just graduated from Nursing School, and a few years back had our very first great granddaughter Makenna. What a beautiful child.

The twins were always very close. Grandma Annette went down and helped with them when they were born. Austin one time was kind of fussy event though I rocked him and sang to him. I put him down by Chrissie and he was just fine. There is a real bond between them. Chrissie enjoys Makenna as do Mary and Ken's last two girls. Makenna is about two years old now and is beautiful, talented, and opinionated. A very precious child.

That makes 22 grand kids and one great granddaughter. Each one unique and precious to us. We especially are enjoying Steve and Jeni's six kids age 9 months through 13.
